Employers in Peru have until Monday, November 16, 2026 to deposit the Compensation for Length of Service (CTS), because November 15 falls on a Sunday, according to [Infobae](https://www.infobae.com/peru/2026/10/09/el-retiro-de-cts-acaba-en-2027-no-esto-es-lo-que-pasara-con-el-seguro-de-desempleo/) and [Perú21](https://peru21.pe/economia/cts-2026-segundo-deposito-de-noviembre-cuando-te-pagaran/). The deposit covers May to October and, for someone who worked the full six months, equals roughly half a month's salary. In addition, under Law 32322, the money can be withdrawn in full until December 31, 2026.
The CTS works like unemployment insurance: the employer deposits it twice a year into an account in the worker's name. This guide explains the dates, the formula and what changes from 2027.
When is the CTS November 2026 deposit due
| Deposit | Period covered | Deadline in 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| May | November 2025 to April 2026 | By May 15 |
| November | May to October 2026 | By Monday, November 16 (the 15th is a Sunday) |
If the 15th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day, according to the BBVA Peru guide. Some guides published months ago still mention November 15 as the deadline; the most recent reports agree on Monday the 16th.
How to calculate the CTS November 2026
The formula takes October's computable pay, adds one sixth of the July bonus, divides by 12 and multiplies by the months worked in the period (plus any extra days, divided by 360).
| Item | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Base salary | Monthly pay for October 2026 |
| Family allowance | If applicable: 10% of the minimum wage, S/ 123 from October |
| Regular pay | Commissions, overtime or other regular payments |
| 1/6 of the July bonus | One sixth of the Fiestas Patrias bonus received |
On that basis, here are some examples for someone who worked all six months (our calculations using the legal formula):
| October salary | 1/6 of July bonus | Computable pay | November CTS (6 months) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S/ 1,230 (minimum wage, no family allowance) | S/ 188.33 | S/ 1,418.33 | S/ 709.17 |
| S/ 1,230 + S/ 123 family allowance | S/ 207.17 | S/ 1,560.17 | S/ 780.08 |
| S/ 2,000 | S/ 333.33 | S/ 2,333.33 | S/ 1,166.67 |
| S/ 3,500 | S/ 583.33 | S/ 4,083.33 | S/ 2,041.67 |
For the minimum wage, the July bonus was calculated on the S/ 1,130 in force in July, because the minimum wage only rose to S/ 1,230 on October 1. Details in the minimum wage in Peru in 2026. If someone worked fewer months, the CTS is reduced proportionally: with three months, it would be half the figures in the table.

Who is entitled to the CTS
- Yes: private-sector workers who average at least four hours of work a day.
- Small businesses: their workers receive a reduced CTS, about a quarter of a month's pay per period, according to Infobae.
- No: workers at microenterprises registered under the special REMYPE regime, and those who work less than four hours a day on average.
According to BBVA, days that count as worked for the CTS include vacations, absences due to illness or accident up to 60 days a year, maternity leave and legally called strikes.
Can you withdraw the CTS November 2026
Yes. Law 32322, enacted in May 2025, allowed workers, on a one-off basis, to freely use 100% of their CTS funds until December 31, 2026, according to La República and Infobae. The November deposit falls within that window.
| Period | How much can be withdrawn | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Until December 31, 2026 | 100% of the balance | Free withdrawal (Law 32322) |
| From January 1, 2027 | Up to 50% of the balance | The rest is locked until the job ends |
| From 2027, special cases | 100% of the balance | Cancer or terminal illness certified to the employer |

Withdrawing everything is a personal decision. Keep in mind that the CTS exists to cover a period without work and that, from 2027, only half of the balance will be freely available.
Where it is deposited and what happens if you quit
Workers choose where their CTS is deposited: a bank, a municipal savings bank, a rural savings bank or a finance company supervised by the SBS regulator, and they can choose the currency, soles or dollars. If they do not choose, the employer opens the account at an institution of its choice. It is worth comparing interest rates, because the difference accumulates over the years.
If a worker quits or is dismissed before November, they do not lose the CTS for the months worked: the employer must deposit the so-called partial CTS, proportional to the months and days of the period, within 48 hours of the end of employment. With that deposit and the termination certificate, the worker can withdraw the funds.
What happens if the employer does not deposit
Non-compliance can be inspected by Sunafil, the labor inspectorate. According to BBVA, in the most serious cases fines can reach S/ 257,500; for micro and small businesses they cannot exceed 1% of the previous year's net income. The employer must also pay the interest the account would have earned from the day after the deadline. Workers can check the deposit with their bank and ask their employer for the CTS statement, which must be delivered within five business days of the deposit.
