El Buen Fin 2026, Mexico's biggest shopping campaign, will run from Friday, November 13, to Tuesday, November 17: five days of discounts in physical and online stores across the country. The big change is the calendar: in previous years the campaign ran from Thursday to Monday, and this time it starts on a Friday and ends on a Tuesday, according to El Imparcial. Monday, November 16, a mandatory day off for the Mexican Revolution, falls in the middle.

Besides the deals, the Tax Administration Service (SAT) will repeat its draw for card payers: this time it gives away 500 million pesos in more than 300,000 prizes, according to El Informador and the official SAT microsite. Here are the dates, the draw rules and a guide to avoid inflated discounts.

How to tell whether a deal is real

  • Write down prices now. Screenshot the price of what you plan to buy in late October and compare it with November 13. A discount on a price raised the week before is not a discount.
  • Compare stores. The same product may be cheaper without a "deal" elsewhere.
  • Careful with interest-free installments. They only pay off if they do not change the cash price and the payments fit your 2027 budget.
  • Check shipping costs and return policies before paying online.
  • Keep your receipts. You will need them to complain and to check the SAT draw.
  • If something goes wrong, complain to [Profeco](https://www.gob.mx/profeco), the consumer agency that monitors promotions during the campaign.

El Buen Fin coincides with year-end bonus payments at many companies, so plan your spending: check how much aguinaldo you are owed before committing to installments.

SAT drawFor cardholders and businesses500 million pesos in over 300,000 prizes

Source: El Imparcial and El Informador. The Friday-to-Tuesday switch puts the whole long weekend inside the campaign: Saturday 14, Sunday 15 and the Monday 16 holiday. For retailers that means three straight days with more people off work; for shoppers, more time to compare before paying.

A practical tip for the draw: each card purchase is one entry, so splitting a big purchase brings no advantage if any part falls below 250 pesos. Cash or bank-transfer purchases do not enter the draw, although they may still get the store's discount.
