The home plans are on Starlink's residential page and the mobile ones on its roam page. The speeds are the maximums the company advertises: they are not guaranteed and drop at times of congestion, as the site itself warns.
How much the Starlink dish costs
The hardware, which includes the dish and the router, is paid for only once. The site offers it "from 89,990 pesos in selected areas", which means the price depends on the address. To find out the exact figure you have to enter the address on the site before buying.
There is also the Starlink Mini, a compact unit with a built-in router that fits in a backpack and reaches download speeds above 200 Mbps, designed for the roam plans.

Residential or Residential Lite
The difference is 13,000 pesos a month and speed: up to 200 Mbps on Lite and more than 400 Mbps on Residential. For watching series, video calls and browsing, 200 Mbps is comfortably enough for a household. The Residential plan makes sense when many people are connected at once or you work with heavy files.
The roam plans
They are for taking the dish from one place to another. Roam 100 GB costs 48,000 pesos a month and, once that data is used up, keeps working at low speed. Roam Unlimited, at 87,000, has no cap and includes use in other countries. The service is billed by the month and can be paused and resumed by paying a lower fee while on standby, which makes it useful for those who only use it on holiday or during work seasons.
When Starlink makes sense in Chile
When there is no fibre. Chile has one of the fastest fixed networks in the world: in the internet speed ranking it comes second, with 393 Mbps of download speed. In cities, a fibre plan usually gives comparable or higher speed without having to buy hardware.
Starlink changes the equation in the countryside, in isolated areas and in places where the only alternative is mobile internet: it works by satellite, so all it needs is a clear sky above the dish.
